Naming Cerimonies

Interested in having a Yoruba style naming ceremony? You've come to the right place! Baby naming regarding the Yoruba culture is a very unique process. A child can even be given tens of names, each one of them holding a very beautiful and memorable meaning and significance.

Culture

Yoruba culture consists of the folk/cultural philosophy, the autochthonous religion and folktales. They are embodied in Ifa-Ife Divination, known as the tripartite Book of Enlightenment or the Body of Knowledge in Yorubaland and in Diaspora

Entertainment

Yoruba music is the music of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, Togo, and Benin. It is perhaps best known for its extremely advanced drumming tradition, especially using the dundun hourglass tension drums. Yoruba folk music became perhaps the most prominent kind of West African music in Afro-Latin and Caribbean musical styles; it left an especially important influence on the music used in Santería practice and the music of Cuba.
